My friend’s site, MIHMS.com (Make it Happen Mantras) got hacked by Jihadists last night. We were headed home after an open house at my daughter’s school when I received an e-mail from a kind individual letting me know the link on CK had been misdirected. As you can imagine, I was quite concerned.

I clicked on the link and sure enough, it led to a Jihadist site that threatened death and destruction for those who did not fall in line with their beliefs. I read their “welcome page” out loud as my 10-year-old listened in the backseat. “Why do they want to kill you,” she asked?

“They want to kill everyone,” I said.

“I don’t understand. Why don’t they like Corporate Kindergarten?”

“They didn’t hack Corporate Kindergarten, they hacked my friend’s site,” I answered.

Still confused she asked, “Well, then why do they want to kill you?”

I struggled to explain the concept of Jihadists and I blurted, “They don’t want to kill me. I’m fine…..It’s my friend Christine, they don’t like.” I realized almost immediately I might have given the wrong impression.

Either way, my daughter felt much better about the fact that I was safe. “Oh,” she said. After some more thought she began to expound on what she would do to a Jihadist “if they ever tried to attack me!” It was rather endearing, listening to a 10-year old describe how she was going to single-handedly dismantle the Jihadist army. Really, though, I’d rather she just focus on school and making friends.

Speaking of friends, my friend’s site is back up and working. You won’t get any viruses from clicking on the link. So I’ll take this opportunity to plug her book, Make It Happen Mantras – How to Get, Keep and Enjoy the Ideal Job. I realize there are a lot of people out of work and any job will do at the moment. But I’m a strong believer in doing what you love and the money will follow. Buy the book. It’s a quick, fun read.

I talked to author, Christine Savi, this morning who is, as you can imagine, quite disgruntled with her web hosting service. While I don’t randomly endorse products or services, I have to say that I’m very happy with Godaddy hosting. There’s just something about that woman’s bosoms that make me feel safe and all warm inside.  

It’s been quite some time since I’ve written a blog. I tried to add a little practical content to the humor, but that pretty much fell out of the sky like shrapnel from a broken satellite, killing the last of my followers.  Besides, I thought, it’s time to take it up a notch and get a little more collegiate. I wanted to focus on research.

After several months, I came to the conclusion that People Magazine and The National Enquirer may not be the best sources for what I wanted to accomplish on this site. They’re not completely out of scope, but I’ve certainly reconsidered my subscriptions.
